Khenpo Karma Wangyel arrived to Estonia on the 28th of Sept and could move in to his new house next to the three-year retreat center. Only minor works are left, and also road works (2000 euros). We thank very much all the donors and helpers who made this project possible!
Khenpo Karma Wangyel will make a short teaching about meditation together with meditation session in Umbusi Buddhist center on the 4th of October at 2 PM.
Also, khenpo Karma Wangyel will make a teaching about Guru Rinpoche’s seven line prayer in Pärnu Dagshang Buddhist center on Friday 3rd of Oct at 6 -8 PM.

We are incredibly thankful for all the generous donations we have received! The construction of the house is nearing completion.
What We’ve Accomplished
In the last few days, we have made significant progress:
The oak parquet flooring inside the house is now completely finished. We were able to find high-quality, second-hand flooring from Sweden that was three times cheaper than new materials.
The heat pump was installed.
The main construction of the terrace has been completed.
Remaining Tasks
All that is left to do now is:
Ceiling insulation
Interior and exterior painting
Floor oiling
Deck board installation
Bathroom work (tiling)
Installing kitchen furniture and plumbing
Final electrical works
Road works. We still need to make over 150 meters of road leading to the house, along with a small parking lot. For the road, we need to raise a total of at least 2,000 euros.
His Holiness Gangteng Rinpoche has consecrated the retreat land and the houses. He also bestowed Vajrakilaya empowerment – there is a special reason for that – it is always given when new people start the retreat. It is said that it is very efficient in removing obstacles and hindrances.
Five practitioners from Yeshe Khorlo Sangha will start the retreat very soon (because of Khenpo Karma Wangyel’s departure to Bhutan for a short period, the beginning of retreat is postponed to 18th of September).
For a moment, they have to live in Umbusi Buddhist center nearby, because we have some very urgent works that we could not finish because of lack of funds – for example, ordering toilets and installing them no matter how mundane it may sound, it is still something necessary). All the rest of the works will be done by the end of this week. Together we have decided to use the money of the retreatants – they have made payments for their retreat food but now we have to use this money. We hope very much that in the Sangha there will be people, who would like to support somebody staying in retreat. As Rinpoche has said – the merit who is doing the retreat and the merit of the one who helps to make it happen is equal!

His Holiness Gangteng Rinpoche just arrived to Estonia together with khenpo Karma Wangyel. This time, no delays of flights of 10 hours, no cancelled flights, everything went smoothly:) Tomorrow he will start the consecration of the retreat land (there is no fixed time, we just start in the morning with riwo sangchö and then there will be the consecration according to the text Rten gsum rab tu gnas pa’i cho ga snying por dril ba dge legs char ‘beb (the ritual text of the consecration of the three objects: statues, scriptures and stupas, condenced to the essence called “The rain of virtue and goodness”. On some photos you can see how Thujila is painting the gate (that was yesterday!), and some photos are from tonight’s evening. Every day, lot of work is possible! On Thursday around 17, Vajrakilaya initiation.
Today (25th of July) we had many works ongoing but the most remarkable among them was excavator. One side, where are two houses has completely changed. Also works around the gate started (we had to construct the beginning of the small pathway that will later lead to khenpo Karma Wangyel’s house (it will be outside of the three-year retreat area. We need this small patch of the road – so later we can turn around the car there (we should not go by car inside the three-year retreat area), when bringing food etc.
